Randy Brown's 33rd Birthday Blowout
Feb. 24, 2006 at Pearl's
The cake photo is a little blurry from the chocolate-loving photographer shaking in anticipation.

The place was packed with family, friends, neighbors and good-natured, beer-drinkin', honest-to-Ida Red, country-lovin', chocolate cake lovers.
Check out the photos. And then be sure to check out Randy, who's starting to hit the honky tonk circuit in a major way for the first time. He'll be at Pearl's again on March 2, 16 and 30, while on March 25 he'll be at the Brazos River Music Festival with Billy Joe Shaver, Eleven Hundred Springs and lots more.

Vans Warped Tour 2009 Warped just began -- Dallas is the fifth stop -- so Bad Religion, NOFX et al will still be fresh. This year, they've got fewer stages and longer sets (40 minutes instead of 30). Get there early for Colorado duo 3OH!3 and Brit punkers Gallows (pictured, credit Jay West). More info
