Now we all know there has been a lot of talking, ranting and raving about Deep Ellum's decline. For a change, how about some talking, ranting and raving about Deep Ellum's rise. At TexasGigs, we'd like to take part in the latter. And to that end, here's a video clip and photos of a great art show held at Frank Campagna's Kettle Art Gallery Friday, January 13. Take a look at the size of the crowd. For such a dead part of town, there sure was a lot of life! Events like these (and they're aplenty) are just the kind of vital activities that can sustain a community. So let's tell the High Priests to stop reading Deep Ellum's last rights.
