That timeslot is crap, straight-up. This is a pittance, thrown to us because Skip's neglect of local artists has been blatant for so long, to the point that various grassroots movements have sprang up independently and mobilized to see something done about this oh-so-obvious snub to EACH AND EVERY ARTIST here, with few exceptions. Nice to see he's hosting it himself, though. Let's see what happens...

I don't know him, but I'm guessing that the best way to get a better timeslot is to get people listening to the show. Maybe we could run his playlist each week as a story on TexasGigs...

puts fingertip on nose @ Mike O.
Yeah, we've already decided to mobilize within the scene and do what we can to promote that show, via web promo and HEAVY CALL-INS
Like I said, we shall see... beats a poke in the eye, I guess

Everyone is on the money as far as the first step is concerned. We need to make the local show a success so that K104 and other radio stations understand that there is a demand. Once we have proven that the demand exists, it is also important that we EXPECT that the station acknowledge that support for shows like this exists by hooking local artists up with better timeslots. (I wish I could underline and make bold the word "expect")
We need to keep tabs on how this plays out and revisit the issue in a couple months.

We cant be lazy this time around. If you have Good Music you consider "dope" take it to k104 and let "local" cd's pill up so they can see we are serious. I am on the way Monday 10am to drop off 3 Alarm music and see if they play it the following sunday or at least once on a sunday night 11pm-12am righ?
