Steve Berg of 1100 Springs Involved in a Motorcycle Accident

Eleven Hundred Springs bassist recovering from motorcycle accident...

Upcoming shows:

Rumored reports that bassist Steve Berg of Eleven Hundred Springs was involved in a motorcycle accident a few weeks back have unfortunately been confirmed. Thankfully, although he sustained some serious injuries, it sounds as if he'll make a full recovery.

" Most of you probably already know that Sunday, January 8th Steve Berg, our friend and bass player was in a motorcycle accident. He sustained injuries including, but not limited to, a broken pelvis, compound fracture in his left leg, and a broken clavicle. He had three surgeries and is expected to make a full recovery in time."

"Steve would like to extend his most heartfelt gratitude for the prayers, wishes, and actions taken on his behalf. Steve thanks you and 1100 Springs thanks you. We'd like to extend our deepest gratitude in advance for the help yet to come, as we will need it."

" Rocky Garza, will be filling in on bass in Steve's absence. He has played two shows with us already and is doing great. God bless him. We will be maintaining a full schedule, or at least as full as we can get it. So, please come join us at the shows!"

" Speaking of shows, we picked up the first two Mondays in February at Adair's Saloon. These shows will serve as benefits for Steve. So many people have been asking what they can do to help. The biggest way you can help is to donate whatever money you can at these or any other show we play. From here until we get Steve back on stage with us you will see a jug at the front of the stage that says "SAVE DJ BURLAP" (aka Steve). Any money collected there will go directly to his medical bills. Also, Natalie at the Sunset Grille in Denton is having a benefit on February 11th. Somebody will be running Steve's DJ gear for him and the door will go to him. God bless her. Lee Harvey's in Dallas is also arranging a benefit for Steve. It will most likely be in March. There will be more details to come on that."

" If anyone has any ideas or questions about helping us with all of this, please feel free to contact us with whatever ideas/questions you have."

"One final thought: life is precious. There aren't enough words to express our love for all of you, our extended family. Thanks for everything, and we hope to see you all soon."

Our thoughts and prayers here at TexasGigs.com are with Steve and his family.
