Real Bowling For Soup News This Time
Reports Radio & Records:
"Monday Night Football may be moving from ABC to ESPN this season, but it's taking Hank Williams Jr. along for the ride. Williams will perform this year's theme, 'All My Rowdy Friends Are Coming Over Monday Night,' with an all-star band featuring Charlie Daniels on fiddle and Little Richard on keys, as well as Steven Van Zandt and Clarence Clemons (E Street Band), Bernie Worrell and Bootsy Collins (Parliament Funkadelic), Chris Burney (Bowling For Soup), Rick Nielsen (Cheap Trick), Angela Webster (The Believers) and ?uestlove (The Roots). MNF kicks off Sept. 11."
The news reportedly made BFS drummer Gary Wiseman look for the nearest facilities.

Don't get me wrong-- I'm a closet BFS fan. But isn't Bernie a little out of his league here?

Him, and ?uestlove.
It's not that they're out of their league. They just don't fit.
Ok, maybe they're out of their league. I just wonder what executive had all those names... Little Richard, Steven Van Zandt, Bootsy Collins and Rick Nielson.. and thought "If I could only get one of those Bowling for Soup guys..."
