Fun On The Fourth
Music, fireworks and more for July 1, 2, 3 and 4. Didn't intend on that having such poetic balance, but it did.
JULY 1
Fireworks with live music
Celebrate Freedom 2006 - 16th Annual Christian Freedom Festival at Southfork Ranch. Tickets are free for 18 bands, fireworks are scheduled to begin after the final act.
Celina First Annual Celebration of Freedom - Fireworks also part of Celina Balloon Festival weekend.
Little Elm July Jubilee - With Idle Hands at Little Elm Park on Lake Lewisville.
The Colony's Liberty By The Lake - With Crawfish and Groove Academy.
Live music, no fireworks
Flower Mound Community Orchestras - Patriotic music review with the Symphony, Progressive and Preparatory orchestras.
JULY 2
Fireworks with live music
Dallas Booms - Fair Park presents a day of fun with free access to the museums from 6 to 8 p.m. The Dallas Symphony Orchestra will play patriotic music to a synchronized fireworks show.
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra - Andrew Grams conducts the Old Fashioned Family Fireworks Picnic at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden.
Wounded Warriors, Fallen Heroes - At Dutch Branch Park in Benbrook to honor, pay tribute and say thanks to the heroes of the U.S. military. Also features Bob Polding Band, videos, cannon salutes, F-18 and vintage aircraft fly-overs, parachute jumping, static vintage military equipment, fireworks and more.

Lone Stars and Stripes Fireworks Celebration - Synchronized with music from 100.3 JACK FM and 99.5 The Wolf at Lone Star Park.
Mesquite FourthFest - Synchronized with music from KEOM 88.5 FM.
JULY 3
Fireworks with live music
Addison Kaboom Town - Historic warplanes from the Cavanaugh Flight Museum will take to the skies at 7:30 p.m. Music by the 531st Texas Air National Guard Band and The Romantics. The 30-minute fireworks show will be choreographed to music and simulcast live on 100.3 JACK FM. Stick around after the fireworks show and watch the last movie of the Cinema In the Circle-in free movie series, Apollo 13.
Farmers Branch Independence Day Celebration - The band Crawfish will rock the red, white and blue at the Farmers Branch Historical Park. Gates open at 6 p.m. with the concert beginning at 7:30.
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra - Andrew Grams conducts the Old Fashioned Family Fireworks Picnic at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden.
Fireworks, no live music
Fireworks Extravaganza over Lake Grapevine - It's the largest fireworks show in Grapevine's history. The fireworks show starts at 9:30 p.m. Plenty of great viewing areas right on the lake.
Flower Mound fireworks show at Circle R Ranch - The fireworks display will begin at dusk, admission and parking are free. Free shuttle service from Flower Mound High School begins at 7 p.m.

Texas Rangers - At Ameriquest Field after the game against the Blue Jays of Toronto, which is not in the United States in case you wanted to rub it in their face.

Bedford 4thFest - With King Creole at Bedford Boys Ranch Park, which has the Splash Aquatic Center - three unique pools and water slides.
Carrollton’s July 4th Celebration - With The Project and Carrollton Wind Symphony. Fireworks music simulcast on 103.7 Lite FM
Denton’s Annual Fourth of July Jubilee - At Fouts Field on the campus of the University of North Texas.
Duncanville Stars, Stripes and Sports Festival - Parade and activities all day, including largest portable water slide in the state. Music by Southern Flight and Mike and the Mix.
Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra - Andrew Grams conducts the Old Fashioned Family Fireworks Picnic at the Fort Worth Botanic Garden.
Garland's Star Spangled Fourth - With Blake Shelton and Sonny Burgess at Firewheel Town Center.
Granbury's 32nd Annual Old-Fashioned 4th - Riverboat cruises, lots of activities all day and night, fireworks over the lake.
Frisco Freedom Fest - Following the MLS match against DC United, featuring Kool & the Gang and Everlife. Also fireworks after the Frisco RoughRiders/San Antonio Missions game.
Hurst Stars & Stripes - With Emerald City, Crawfish and Johnnie High Country Music Review.
Irving's Fourth Celebration - Parade downtown at 9 a.m., followed by patriotic jazz concert, children’s activities and free watermelon at Heritage Park. That night, the Irving Symphony Orchestra will present a free concert and fireworks display at Williams Square.
Lake Dallas City Park - With the Church of Corinth Rock Band and Silver Nickel Band.
Lancaster's Fantastic Fourth - At Tiger Stadium, with Don Diego and Fingerprints. (In 2007 this event will return to DeSoto.)
McKinney’s 16th Annual Forever Free - Live entertainment plus Barney and Me Boxing, whatever that is.
Red, White and Lewisville - Reckless Kelly and Le Freak perform at Vista Ridge Mall.
Richardson's Family Fourth Celebration - Richardson Community Band helps celebrate at Breckinridge Park.
Fireworks, no live music:
Dallas Heritage Village at Old City Park - All activities highlight a Texas Fourth as it might have been celebrated during pioneer and Victorian days. Visit with Civil-War reenactors depicting Union and Confederate troops and their families, tour historic structures decorated to celebrate America.
Fireworks at Joe Pool Lake - Bring your blanket, chairs and a picnic.
Fort Worth Cats - At LaGrave Field after the game against Coastal Bend, plus rally towels for the first 1,000 fans.
Plano's All-American Fourth - Synchronized with music from KLAK 97.5 FM at Oak Point Park.
Quad Cities Fireworks - Synchronized with music from KDKR 91.3 FM. Fireworks may be seen from the parking lots of Wiley G. Thomas Coliseum in Haltom City and NRH Village Center in North Richland Hills.
Spirit of Coppell - Starts with a patriotic parade at 10 a.m. at the corner of Samuel and Parkway Blvd., where it will proceed on Parkway to Town Center. After the parade, stop by Picnic in the Park. Bring your picnic baskets or buy food at the event. Entertainers will bring you into the celebration spirit.
Texas Rangers - At Ameriquest Field after the game against the Blue Jays of Toronto, which, again, is not in the United States in case you wanted to rub it in their face extra good for a second night, eh?
Live music, no fireworks
Dallas Wind Symphony - Two afternoon shows at the Morton H. Meyerson Symphony Center. There'll be toe-tapping marches, plenty of hot dogs and ice cream, a children's costume contest and an 11-foot tall Uncle Sam.
Plano Symphony Orchestra - Patriotic Pops, with featured guests, The Rich-Tone Chorus at the Eisemann Center.

Yeah good point, Mike. They're just not setting them off (unless someone knows otherwise.) I was a strict fireworks constructionist with the list.
And anyone feel free to post other events in DFW not on here.
