Round 2: March Madness Rap Battles

Watch local rappers battle Mark Cuban

— With the help of Ch0 from DFWHipHop and local rap battle legend Headkrack, TexasGigs sent out an open invitation to any rapper who wanted to show off his battling skills. Six brave lyricists answered the call. These rappers were given photos of local celebrities. Immediately after seeing the celebrity, they were given 90 seconds to battle who they saw. Based on a combination of fan and judge voting, two rappers were eliminated after Round 1. Now only four remain, and they must battle a local billionaire in Round 2. Thats right, the four remaining rappers will battle Mark Cuban!!

Fans can vote once a day for their favorite of our remaining four battlers throughout the week. Voting will end next Sunday. The rapper with the most votes will get an automatic pass into the final round.

Meanwhile, we will have two judges rank all four of the Round 2 competitors from best to worst. Based on their feedback, a second rapper will advance to the final round.
