Casey Myers rub-a-dub-blogging.

Now hear this reminder, courtesy of a Gary Myers note to Ed Flynn of the Southwest Bluegrass Club: Casey Rivers made the cut after Week 1 of Nashville Star Season 4 and will be on again tonight.

"Besides being a member of the Blue Grass club, I have also been member of the Grapevine Opry for the last 16 years. Over the years I have been running the spotlight for a couple of shows each month, and during that time I have seen a lot of amateur country singers cross the stage, including the likes of now professional LeAnn Rimes, Linda Davis, Keith Anderson and our latest singer/song writer Matt Jenkins.

"Anyway, we currently have a super nice and talented singer out of Lindale, Texas, named Casey Rivers, who performs frequently at the Opry. He is also a contestant on the Nashville Star show, which airs on Tuesday night at 9:00 Central, on the USA network. He survived the auditions of over 20,000 folks to make the 10 contestants for the show, and managed to escape the cut last week by singing George Strait's Heartland. He will appear with the other eight survivors tomorrow night (Mar 21st).

"So, if any members are bored with normal TV, maybe they would like to switch over the to the USA channel, and if so inclined, place a vote for Casey. Some of the other contestants are also very talented, so he can use all the help he can get. Even if he doesn't make it all the way, the more time he can spend on the show, the more it will help his career."

By the way, Casey's got a Nashville Star video blog from the shower here. I swear, more people ought to do blogs from the shower, I mean why the heck not?
