Summer Break SXSW

Summer Break Records came to Austin and they brought free beer.

The past couple of years at SXSW, by day 3 or so, I'm longing for some familiar faces. Thankfully Robert Jenkins, owner of Summer Break Records, puts together a great showcase every year that meets all my homesick needs. Robert invited The Cut*Off, I Love Math, Sorta, Pleasant Grove, Salim Nourallah, Chris Holt and his ever-changing band name, Here, In Arms and more to perform at this year's shindig.

This year was another great one. Some of the best bands DFW has to offer gathered at Shoal Creek Saloon on Saturday afternoon for a day of great music, cold beer and SXSW chat.

Below are links to listen to some of the performances. It was pretty crowded and it's not my best sound job...but it's all I had to work with that day.
