A Real Cool Thursday

Email Print Tell us your story Comments (4)

Cool Thursdays at the Dallas Arboretum started this week, with The Beatles’ tribute band, Hard Night's Day, kicking off the season. About 2,000 people came to the sold out concert to celebrate the beginning of summer with some old Beatles’s favorites. Children were running rampant, people were dancing, and the wine was flowing (yes, you can bring your own alcohol). It’s a great place to hang out with friends and family (don’t forget the mosquito repellent though).

The Cool Thursdays concerts are every Thursday from May to the end of July, so make sure to check the band schedule before the summer ends and the heat gets unbearable.

The Magnetic Fields Quartet led by songwriter Stephen Merritt is resolutely "indie" so how come their music has been used in a Volvo commercial and appeared in the film Lemony Snicket? More info
