Diesel is the final champion of the Local Licks show on 93.3 The Bone. We got an enthusiastic email from Diesel, saying, "Diesel are the champions forever!!! Diesel has the prestigous honor of having more votes on the station than any other local band ever had!!!!! So now that the show has come to a close. No body will ever dethrone diesel."
No one, indeed, apparently. In case you did not know, this is from the Local Licks MySpace page:
"As most of you may or may not know, 933 THE BONE is undergoing some changes. We are in the process of obtaining new owners (Cumulus Broadcasting) and word came down about 30 minutes ago that LOCAL LICKS has been cancelled. With that being said, I have NO OTHER information to give you at this time. Debbie Sexxton busted her BUTT for Local Licks and unfortunatly, I was only able to do the show for two weeks. Cumulus officially takes over May 5th and changes ARE being made as I type this. I wanted to thank everyone and BIG thanks to Debbie for getting LOCAL LICKS on the air, albeit for a very short time."
Be sure to check out the TexasGigs Diesel page for lots of cool, upcoming local shows.
