TexasGigs wins DOMA's 2006 Best Music Web Site/Blog award
We shot We Shot JR, plus DConstruction, Gorilla Vs. Bear and Indie Interviews Tuesday night at the Granada.
Here's a non-Sally Field speech by our fearless leader, Mike, being awarded the very heavy DOMA award (who the hell made those things - Vulcan, Roman god of the Forge?) for best music web site/blog, by awarder/Observerer Robert Wilonsky.
Mike should have video from his perspective later, so feel free to write a 6-8 page paper on the difference in perspective when that's ready.

WOW!!! I knew it. Thank you Alan, Blair, Cindy, Mike and all of you guys at Texasgigs for doing such a great job with covering the music scene here in Dallas. Damn I had so much fun there last night, and it was great to see all of you. I can only say you deserve every single award, mentions, and thank yous that come your way.....
From the first time I met Mike and Alan they were some of the most sincere, and realiset dudes I've ever met..... Not to mention all the other fellas that work for texasgigs.... You guys could take over the WORLD!!!!! I think I speak for the whole Hip Hop scene, hell the whole music scene in Dallas when I say THANK YOU.... and I mean that sh*t......
