As reported on The Fold, Denton jammers Bagg is calling it quits after their show at Dan's Silverleaf Thursday night.

The band writes on its website: "Yes, it's true; BAGG will begin their journey on separate paths after their final show on Thursday, May 11th at Dan's Silverleaf in Denton. There is discussion of a 'Last Hurrah' in the fall as a, 'Thank you' to everyone's continued support over the years, but that is still on the drawing board.

"After years of hard work and great times, the members of BAGG will take new direction with their musical lives as of May 11, 2006. Whether it's teaching lessons, jamming in an all improv funk band, pursuing other avenues of musical expression, or focusing on privte musical development, you can guarantee the members of BAGG will be heavily involved in the spread of music in one way or another."

Vans Warped Tour 2009 Warped just began -- Dallas is the fifth stop -- so Bad Religion, NOFX et al will still be fresh. This year, they've got fewer stages and longer sets (40 minutes instead of 30). Get there early for Colorado duo 3OH!3 and Brit punkers Gallows (pictured, credit Jay West). More info
