Another Friday Afternoon at Bill’s Records
Thanks again to Rebecca for switching work days at the part-time job, which allowed me another wonderful afternoon at Bill's Records for the KHYI 95.3 The Range Lunch-time Concert Series.
I had the great pleasure of meeting the one - the only - the incomparable Dallas Wayne today and I must say that Josh was right, he's one heckuva great guy.
The performances this afternoon were outstanding, starting with Jim Colegrove and his band Lost Country. This was my first time hearing/seeing this band live, and lemme tell ya kids -- I've been missing out!
Of course I had my audio recorder in tow, so click below to hear their set live today from Bill's.

Next up was one of my all-time favorite Texas country artists, Tommy Alverson and his band. I've probably seen like a gazillion Tommy Alverson performances over the years, both solo and as a full band, and he's always amazing...and dang fun!

Finally the ladies commanded the stage, and oh what a stage it became! Kristy Kruger, Glenna Bell (Houston) and Sarah Sharp (Austin) kicked off their "Texas Angels" tour today at Bill's Records. Do - NOT - miss them again. There was so much talent oozing from that stage, that I think I might have gotten a little of it on me.
