Breaking News - Frequency Down CANCELLED?
Word just came down that the highly popular, multi-award nominated show on KNTU, Frequency Down has been pulled off the air, and it's creator and host Frank Hejl has been fired.
It seems that Frank aired a song that had the "f" word in it, which goes against the station's policy against indecency. Seems to me that a slap on the hand might have been slightly less severe than the action taken.
This truly, truly, truly sucks. Frank has been sharing his awesome taste in indie music for almost 3 years, and I for one will miss the heck out of his show. However, he's destined for bigger and better anyway, so I'm sure this won't be the last time we hear (literally) from Frank Hejl.

Odd that the hammer coming down on Frank coincided with the end of the acedemic year. Coincidence? You be the judge.

This totally stinks for KNTU! Name me another show that gets the station noticed well beyond it's airwaves. If anything, Mr. Hejl should've been promoted to a paid position of programming or promotional director long ago. It's their loss and all the eclectic Jazz at North Texas can't bring it back!
