Forest Hill Mayor Gets Reprieve
Council reverses vote to remove, but serves up list of charges
FOREST HILL The Forest Hill City Council reversed a vote taken six weeks ago to remove Mayor James Gosey. But Gosey isn't out of the woods yet, as the reversal is due to procedural challenges brought up by Gosey's attorneys.
Gosey is accused of undisclosed ethics violations of the City charter. Gosey supporters have said that the allegations surround votes on gas leases that could have affected property owned by the mayor, but neither the City Attorney or Gosey's lawyers are talking.
