As far as I know, we're the only media outlet to publish the full list, presumably because we're not working from a cut-down version for print. And I haven't seen anyone else linking to the actual works. Mind you, we don't have all the links -- these were just the ones that could easily be found. But the dearth of available stories online tells you something about the mindset of our print and broadcast colleagues.

Including Ankarlo and some DMN folk, a lot of now-absent names on that list.

Glad to see my old team continuing their largely successful campaign to rename the "Special Circulation Newspapers" category the "Texas Lawyer" category. Looks like another record year for them.

I've been to a half-dozen Katie ceremonies and I still don't understand the logic behind who's in here. It looks like an all Texas and multi-state list, but clearly the Houston Chronicle and the Austin American Statesman don't play.

Adam at The Frontburner is right: The music selection is always the most entertaining part of the ceremony. Clearly the same band that's been there for years. If you listen closely, there's often subtle editorial commentary in their song selection.

I predict some shakeup in next year's list of web awards.

Kristine Pipit contributed to this story.

Validity aside, surely we could have won something.
