Tourism Head Says Dallas Fabulous for Gays
DALLAS The story that Dallas Convention and Visitor Bureau head Phillip Jones is pushing Dallas as a gay travel destination has been making the rounds of local media all month. Dallas is now the seventh-most popular gay business travel destination. (Who measures these things anyway?)
Now, the AP picks it up, claiming that cowboy stereotypes are being shattered.
Sigh. Yes, national media, Dallas is chock full of Cowboys. I'm sitting on a horse right now, in fact.
