Chisholm Pond to be stocked with rainbow trout this winter
Not sure about you, but I love eating dang trout. Here's a message from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department's Inland Fisheries Division: They're in the fourth year of an urban fishing program research project, which includes the pond at Chisholm Park. Fish will be stocked throughout the fall and winter starting in late November and ending in early March 2007. TPWD will again be conducting angler interviews to monitor usage rates. A freshwater fishing license is required for anglers 17 years old and up (unless born before Sept 1, 1930).
Anglers are reminded that the community fishing lake daily bag limit is five fish per day. There is no minimum length regulation on channel catfish in community fishing lakes. Stocking dates are subject to change because of weather and fish availability. Stocking dates for 2006 are: November 30; December 14, 28. In 2007 the dates are: January 11, 25; February 8, 22; and March 8.
