Richland College employee wins local top honors for theater set design
Richland College employee Jennifer Owen received the 2006 Leon Rabin Award for Outstanding Set Design for her work on the Classical Acting Company's production of "Shakespeare's Keeper." The show was performed in Richland's Arena Theatre last season.
Ms. Owen, an alumna of Richland's theater department and currently the college's theater technical director, also was nominated for Outstanding Lighting Design for her work on the Classical Acting Company's production of "No Exit."
"Shakespeare's Keeper," written by Chris Pickles, won the Rabin Award for Outstanding New Play or Musical.
The Dallas Theatre League sponsors the Rabin Awards, named for the late Dallas arts patron, which celebrate the diversity and excellence of live theater in Dallas-Fort Worth.
