Coppell ISD board votes to move forward with magnet school
During the November 27 school board meeting, the CISD Board of Trustees voted for the staff to move forward in the process of planning for an Academy/Magnet school of choice in Coppell ISD. Superintendent Dr. Jeff Turner will begin meetings in early December to identify exactly what the next steps will be but he is anticipating an eighteen month period, including time to study everything from needs and areas of interest to staffing and possible facility options. A fall 2008 opening is envisioned.
