On December 5, Davis Intermediate School will host its third annual Multicultural Holiday Festival from 6 to 7:30 p.m. During this six weeks, students will learn about holiday traditions from different continents and countries in all content areas. The building will be full of projects, decorations that the students have made, and music that sixth grade choir and band students will perform to represent cultures from around the world. Enjoy holiday stories and games in different areas of the building. Of course, no holiday gathering in the United States is complete without the jolly old man in the red suit, so Santa Claus will also make an appearance to visit with the child in all of us. PTA will sponsor photo opportunities with Santa.
The school would like to have foods from other countries for all to sample. If you have a special family favorite, or a traditional holiday food you would like to share, then come over to the cafeteria on December 5 - please let your child's homeroom teacher know.
Davis Staff and PTA will host a drop and shop night on December 7 from 5-7 p.m. Just come and drop off the school aged kids only to shop at our holiday Christmas store while you go shop, run errands, etc. There will be music, games, and other activities available.
If you would like to volunteer, please contact Davis PTA via email at findtherackleys@msn.com or call (214) 924-3671.

Saturday Tastings in the Wine and Beer Department Little Joey just LOVES the Saturday wine tastings at Central Market - he particularly likes the blind tastings, when he can sneak a snort while Mommie's not looking. (Great nose!) More info
