Valley Ranch 5th Grader wins Coppell ISD holiday greeting card contest
This year's district holiday greeting card contest included more than 50 entries with submissions from all elementary schools throughout the district. The award for the winning design went to Valley Ranch 5th Grader Winona Martin under the direction of Art Teacher Mrs. Jennifer Torres. Design runners-up were Lakeside Elementary 5th Grader Savannah Stancil under the direction of Art Teacher Mrs. Cacey Narez and Pinkerton Elementary 5th Grader Lauren Lason under the direction of Art Teacher Mrs. Jennifer Torres. Superintendent Dr. Jeff Turner visited Winona's class when the announcement was made and presented her with a variety of art supplies including tablets, brushes, paints, pencils and more. The winning artwork will be on display for the public in the Vonita White Administration Building during the month of December.
