Local indie-rock group Red Monroe has made the 2007 Grammy Nomination ballot for Best Alternative Music Album. Their self-titled release is one of 48 on the ballot including released by Les Claypool, DJ Shadow, and the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. It will be a few months before the final list of Grammy nominees for this category is released.

And, we originally missed it, but indiekitten points out that John Dufilho made the list too (#21).

Congrats Red Monroe! I'm L.M.F.A.O. right now, as I S.M.P. over how GREAT this is!!!

Right now I've got a really strong urge to shake each of your hands. Maybe I can get my opportunity to do so when you open up for Pilotdrift at Hailey's Halloween party this Saturday.
