Pegasus: What is the one greatest thing that the Lewisville City Council has achieved in the past year?
Vaughn: I would say the greatest accomplishment by the council is their handling of growth in the city and the revitalization of Old Town.
Pegasus: What is the single biggest improvement that the Lewisville City Council needs?
Vaughn: The council needs to undertake greater efforts to actively engage its citizens. Community and voter apathy are extremely high in Lewisville.
Pegasus: What is the toughest problem you have ever solved?
Vaughn: Since I have never held an elected office I would have to say it has been in my personal life. Having been forced to retire early because of health reasons I had to find an inter-motivation to not give up. I chose to concentrate on my education while under the constant care of doctors and receiving the necessary operations and care to stay alive. While receiving treatment I was able to earn a BA in political science, receive a scholarship to graduate school were I earned a masters degree in public affairs.
Pegasus: If you are elected and can achieve ONE quantifiable thing in your term, what would you want it to be?
Vaughn: I would like to increase the use of mass transit by 25%. Creating a transit system by which the citizens of Lewisville could travel from one end of the Metroplex to the other without the use of their private vehicles.
