Urban music promoter collective “Metro Muzik: The Union” is seeking talented rap, hip-hop, and R&B artists to open up for OutKast-affiliated Rapper Killer Mike for an upcoming Music Scene Exposed Seminar & Showcase.
Killer Mike (Born Michael Render) is an Atlanta, Georgia rapper signed to Grind Time Official through the Selecto Hits Imprint. He made his debut appearance on “Snappin’ and Trappin” on OutKast’s 2000 LP Stakonia, and also won a Grammy performing on “The Whole World," the only single from OutKast’s greatest hits album Big Boi and Dre Present…OutKast.
Killer Mike released his debut LP, Monster, via Columbia Records in 2003 selling over 500,000 copies. The lead single "Akshon (Yeah!)" featuring Outkast was included on the sound track to the 2004 video game edition of Madden NFL Football. As part of the Purple Ribbon Allstars, Killer Mike performed on the 2006 street anthem “Kryptonite (I’m On It)” on Got Purp? Vol 2, distributed by Big Boi’s Purple Ribbon Records. He released “I Pledge Allegiance to the Grind" via Select-O-Hits in October 2006. Killer Mike has collaborated with Jay-Z, Chamillonaire, Lil’ Jon, Talib Kweli, 8Ball & MJG and OutKast.
Metro Muzik: The Union is dedicated to leading the movement for independent hip-hop, rap, and R&B artists and is looking for talented artists to open up for Killer Mike. Set to take place during The Music Scene Exposed Seminar & Showcase on April 29th in Dallas, artists who open for Killer Mike could be in position to gain maximum exposure as some of Dallas/Fort Worth's top music & entertainment people will be in attendance.
