Ask Dallas mayoral candidate Ed Oakley a question
Dallas mayoral candidate Ed Oakley is stopping by for a sit down election interview on Thursday afternoon. As we often do here at Pegasus News, we'd like to give you a couple of days to think of any questions that you'd like Ed to answer while we have him on the hot seat. How funny to cite Dallas Progress. Everyone knows that Michael Davis is out to get Oakley. Far from a credible source to reference. I used to think Davis was a pretty good guy but his blogging lacks the facts and credible sources. His attacks of Oakley have been quite funny.
I would like to ask Ed Oakley about any work he has done with preserving neighborhoods and conservations districts. Historic preservation is important to me and I want to hear if he has any experience with the issue.

To "AMANNING" (who?)....How about just asking the question instead of being a coward and taking a shot at someone behind a pseudonym?
Notice that I didn't pose a question to Oakley in this space because my views are already out there. Many people read Pegasus, and deserve a chance to get their questions asked.
I'm not "out to get" anyone. Unless, you own a hot-sheet motel or bring crime into our City. We have differing views of the merits of the Trinity project and other issues. That's why we vote.
Second, I'll work with whomever becomes Mayor.
A wise person once said that if you don't have any enemies you probably never took a hard stand on anything in your life. I'll put my track record against anyone my age in this City.
And next time you take a shot at me, whomever you are, use your whole real name. As I do...with my picture right next to it on my blog...which is obviously read....by you. Don't be a coward.

I would like to know what planning and strategies the city should employ to deal with the current and impending redevelopment of East Dallas -specifically: infrastructure, roads, landscaping, sidewalks and other lessons learned from Uptown, so that the same mistakes are not repeated.
Also, what is your view of uncovering Mill Creek and beautifying it (like Turtle Creek) as was proposed in the 100-year old Kessler Plan? In addition to flooding relief, I believe it would be a huge catalyst for East Dallas, Deep Ellum and Fair Park...

Thank you. I had no idea that my profile was anonymous until I was attacked by Michael Davis.
Michael needs a chill pill. There have been lots of good people in this city who stood up for things and fought for what they think is right but they don't need to run to the local news channels and write a blog entry each time they go to city hall.
My disgust for Mr. Davis is that he doesn't research the facts, writes things based on gossip, and he is a follower of a man who tried to ruin our parks system.

Amanda, your opinion is welcomed here, but I can tell you that Mike is one of the more sincerely civic-minded people I have ever met. While his posts on Dallas Progress may often times be very opinionated, I believe it also provides a great forum for dialog on some of key issues affecting our city. I work from the mindset that dialog is good, so I appreciate what Dallas Progress has to offer.
You have twice questioned Mike's research and fact gathering. Could you point out a factual inaccuracy in something written about on Dallas Progress?
