Former Keller City Councilman fights with current Keller City Councilmen
Former Keller Councilman Jim Badalamenti has made an Open Records request for documents pertaining to Councilmen Mark Harness and Jim Carson. The request is for all recorded information either generated by or received by me since I was elected in May, 2006.
Mr. Badalamenti notes carefully that his request includes documents that I have received or generated through my personal mailbox or computers located at my home.
First, the amount of paper required to fulfill this request can be measured in board-feet. If this request is meant to harass, it’s working: it will be an enormous burden on the one person in Keller politics that everyone seems to love, City Secretary Sheila Stephens.
Second, there is no city business at my home that doesn’t also exist at Town Hall. No one will be coming to look at my papers at home without charging me with a crime and obtaining a search warrant.
Third, Mr. Badalamenti has a history of making grievously false accusations. Last November Mr. Badalamenti stood in the well of Town Hall and accused Mark Harness of “making a false 911 call” and requested that Mayor Tandy immediately take Mr. Harness into custody. The truth turned out to be that Mark Harness had anonymously called the State Attorney General’s office to inquire as to what auditing procedures were available to municipalities.
