The book, Hecho en Tejas, released February 10, 2007, and the Rose Marine Theater is holding the celebration for their release, entitled "Hecho en Tejas: Palabras del Barrio." The book is an anthology of Mexican-American literature written by six authors who will also be present at the party.
The celebration will feature readings and performances by the six authors, including editor Dagoberto Gilb. Some highlights of the night will be a video-poem screening by poet Tonantzin Canestaro-Garcia and a performance by Austin musician, David Garza.
