UPDATED: Flower Mound to hold Trash Off/ Environmental Fair

Good for the environment. Fun for the kids.

The Town of Flower Mound's "Keep Flower Mound Beautiful" campaign will host the annual Spring Trash Off and Environmental Fair from 8:30 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, April 14 at The Home Depot, 852 International Parkway.

Attendees will help pick up litter around Flower Mound from 8:30 to 11 a.m. in the Town’s right of ways, parks, trails, and creeks.

Afterward, the Environmental Fair will be held from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and will include environmental booths with information, face painting, games, food, and door prizes.

UPDATE: Additionally, the Environmental Fair will include a nature photography contest. A booth will be open from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. to accept submissions.

Participants are allowed three unaltered photograph submissions and should enter them in one of the following categories:

• youth (11 and under),
• teen (12 – 18),
• adult amateur,
• adult professional,
• and Town employee.
