Dallas mayoral campaign provoking inevitable polls and contests
Into the back stretch, it's Wells by a length, with Leppert closing on the outside, and Oakley second by two.
DALLAS The mayoral campaign is a horse race. No, it's a scratch-off lottery. Why should politics be so serious? Make it fun. Last week, the DBJ had a story on the online poll it conducted, drawing 2,896 responses, that gave 28 percent to Max Wells. Meanwhile, Back Talk, the online blog for Advocate magazine, offered a handicapper, then launched a contest seeking guesses as to who will win, with the prize being dinner at a local restaurant.
This list makes a good cheat sheet, in case you want to brush up. If you win that free dinner, we're free every night this year.
