Additionally, Brad has posted some very personal video blogs on YouTube chronicling his chemotherapy treatment. They are available here.

On Friday, April 20 at 4:00 pm, a golf scramble will be held at Riverchase Golf Course in Coppell to benefit Brad Williams, an Irving teacher who is struggling against mantle cell lymphoma, a rare and aggressive form of cancer.

Williams, a fifth grade teacher at Farine Elementary School, has taken temporary leave from his job in order to move to Houston for special treatment. His wife, Tami, is a third grade teacher at Farine.

"The hardest thing is that no one has actually had the exact treatment that I'm taking, so even the doctors don't know for sure what reactions I'll have," say Williams.

"They've never combined these exact drugs under my circumstances. However, it is my best shot to not only help myself possibly find a cure, but if nothing else, provide hope that someone in the future doesn't have to go through this."

All proceeds from the event will help Brad and Tami pay their medical expenses.

As of now, 56 players are expected to attend the shotgun-style tournament, which will conclude in a Happy Hour during which 100% of the proceeds will be given to the Williams family. Aristo Torres, a friend of the family who used to teach with Tami, has also suggested that a few current Dallas Cowboys will be in attendance.

"I can't say the names of the players, because as you know they may cancel and that wouldlook bad," Torres says. "But I can tell you is that current players of the Dallas Cowboys are planning to show up and play in this tournament and that they are also donating two autographed footballs, one by the entire team and the other by Terrell Owens."

The cost is $40 per golf player or $40 to sponsor a hole. To sign up for either option, contact Lisa Molinar at 972-467-2687 or Aristo Torres at torres.aristo@sbcglobal.net.

Not one to shy away from a sensitive subject, Brad has created a detailed blog entitled "Dealing Daily with Cancer" (available at www.bradvscancer.blogspot.com) to chart his progress in fighting the disease.
