SMU faculty senate passes resolutions to separate school from Bush Library
It's hard to imagine why the faculty would want to separate themselves from the President
The SMU faculty senate have passed two resolutions to create clear separation between the university and Bush Presidential Library. The resolutions make clear that any policy institute being planned as part of the Presidential Library not only be separate from SMU, but also not bear the university's name. The resolutions passed with over 70% support within the faculty senate.
