Country music artist Joe Nichols and alternative band Switchfoot featured at UTA’s Springfest ‘07

ARLINGTON—The annual SpringFest ’07 Music Concert and Festival at The University of Texas at Arlington will be held Saturday, April 21, and will feature live music performances by alternative rock band Switchfoot and country music artist Joe Nichols. Switchfoot’s most recent album, Oh Gravity, continues to receive critical acclaim and fan approval. Their previous album, The Beautiful Letdown, has sold more than two million albums in the United States alone and reached double platinum status.

Joe Nichols’ most recent album, III, has hit the charts having sold more than 500,000 albums and is a certified Gold Record with songs like “Tequila Makes Her Clothes Fall Off,” “I’ll Wait For You” and “Size Matters (Someday).”The event will be held in Maverick Stadium and will include other music acts, games, food, and visits from local merchants and vendors. Gates open at 5 p.m.

Seating will be open on the stadium football field and lawn chairs and blankets are welcomed. Seating in the bleachers will also be available. Tickets are now on sale and prices range from $10 to $17. For purchasing and more information visit the event website.
