Susan G. Komen for the Cure announces $82 million in scientific grants
DALLAS According to a story in the Dallas Business Journal, the Dallas-based Susan G. Komen for the Cure breast cancer foundation has announced $82 million in grants for the 2006-07 year.
The foundation gave $55 million in grants last year and has an expressed goal of $1 billion in donations. The foundation is already the second-biggest source of funds for breast cancer research, trailing only the U.S. government.
