Benbrook City Council to honor “fallen warrior,” dedicate week in his honor
Sgt. Lance C. Springer was killed in Iraq late last month.

At its upcoming meeting, the Benbrook City Council will make a proclamation declaring April 23-29, 2007 as Lance C. Springer II Week in within the city.
Sgt. Springer, a 2002 graduate of Western Hills High School, was killed in Iraq during an explosion on March 23. Benbrook Mayor Jerry Dittrich and the council will present Springer's parents with the proclamation.
