Former Highland Park pitcher top pitching prospect for Dodgers
Clayton Kershaw's successful high school career propelled past college, even though he had committed to Texas A&M, straight into a Dodger uniform. The Dodger's felt Kershaw's 96mph fastball was special enough for their No. 1 draft pick in the 2006 draft and $2.3 million signing bonus.
