Texas Wesleyan men’s golf in second after two rounds
The 11th ranked Texas Wesleyan University men’s golf team sits in second place behind hosting Oklahoma City University at the Oklahoma City Spring Classic at Quail Creek Golf Course.
The Rams were just three strokes behind the second ranked Stars after a first round score of 299. However, the Stars shot a second round 288 and lead the Rams by 15 (584-599) going into tomorrow’s final round.
Oklahoma City’s Daniel Mitchell leads all individuals at 138 after shooting the low score of the day, 67, in game two.
Texas Wesleyan was led by Mitch Hendon, who’s card of 147 was good for third place. Meanwhile, Ryan Stephens is tied for fourth at 148, and Kevin Doskocil is tied for ninth at 151. Dan Hahn shot 153 (15th), and Justin Smith shot 161 (T31st) to round out the Rams’ card.
The third and final round of the Oklahoma City Spring Classic will be played on Tuesday.
