Allen ISD names new CFO

ALLEN, Texas ─ Mark Tarpley has been named Chief Financial Officer for the school district. Tarpley replaced Assistant Superintendent Steve West, who retired from the school district in January.
The new CFO position will be responsible for managing school finance, budgeting, accounting and purchasing.
Tarpley, who served as Director of Business at Birdville ISD the last two years, was previously an Assistant Superintendent for Finance and Operations at Greenville ISD for four years. He is also a Certified Public Accountant and began his career as an auditor.
Tarpley joined the Allen ISD staff on April 15.
Scott Weber also has been named Director of Finance and Operations for the school district. Weber previously held the position of Budget Manager.
