Paschal High School boasts four of seven FWISD students to make it as National Merit Scholars

They are the best of the best, the top of the top, the crème de la crème.

Today officials of the National Merit Scholarship program announce the first group of Merit Scholarship winners in 2007 - and seven students in the Fort Worth Independent School District are included in this elite group. They are:

Probable career field: Medicine

Arlington Heights High School

Probable career field: Film production

These scholars were selected from Finalists in the 2007 National Merit Scholarship Program who meet the specific criteria of their scholarship sponsors, Lockheed Martin and SAP America.

This is National Merit Scholarship Corporation's first announcement of designees. Other recipients will be announced on May 2, May 23 and July 16.
