Go out to eat in Dallas on May 3 and benefit Operation Kindness

Certain restaurants will donate 25 percent to help homeless animals.

DALLAS — Operation Kindness has rigged up an event called "Bone Appetit," in which select restaurants in Dallas will contribute a portion of their revenue to help homeless animals.

On Thursday, May 3rd, if you eat lunch, dinner, or both at participating Bone Appetit restaurants, a portion of your bill (at least 25 percent) will automatically be donated to Operation Kindness.

You don't have to do anything more than simply go and have a nice meal, and you will be helping homeless and unwanted animals.

Participating restaurants include:

• Angry Dog in Deep Ellum - lunch and dinner
• Lavendou Bistro Provecal - lunch and dinner
• Angelo's Italian Grill in Lakewood - lunch and dinner
• Urban Bistro on Inwood - lunch and dinner
• Terilli's Lower Greenville - lunch only
• Fuse in downtown Dallas- dinner only

It makes total sense that Angry Dog would participate in this fund-raiser. But where, one wonders, is the Top Cat chain -- wouldn't you think they'd feel compelled to support this event? For that matter, what about Urban Dog Coffee? And Go Fish -- is it only fish they say "go" to?
