Last Friday The Salutation dropped by the Pegasus News offices for an interview. The six-member band, five of whom were able to pack our little studio/interview room, have recently completed the unmastered version of their debut EP, When Different Becomes Dangerous. You can preview a few of those tracks below.
Some of the things we talked about in this interview include:
- How this group came together
- How to describe The Salutation's distinct sound
- Their EP, When Different Becomes Dangerous and how differently dangerous they really are... or not
- The typical Salutation fan
- How the fall of Deep Ellum can mean growth for surrounding cities
- How Jeremy gets his metallic magenta eye shadow so perfect (well no, I didn't ask, but come on, it's freaking perfectly applied)
Check out The Salutation as they share the stage this Friday with New York Called, hopedieslast, Cyndrom, Here's to Goodbye, and Face the Eyes of Terror at Rock Steady.
When Different Becomes Dangerous MP3s
- "Black Tie Affair" (unmastered)
- "No Vacancy" (unmastered)
- "Pulse Fiction" (unmastered)
- "It Would Take a Miracle" (unmastered)
