Attention D-FW musicians: Wendy’s restaurant marketing dept wants you to do their work for them

Sometimes news articles border on advertisement. To prove no such collusion is at work here, let me tell you that if you eat The Baconator, it will kill you. It will kill you, and your crying children will mourn your bloated corpse.
Sometimes news articles border on advertisement. To prove no such collusion is at work here, let me tell you that if you eat The Baconator, it will kill you. It will kill you, and your crying children will mourn your bloated corpse.

While this news is not exclusively local, Wendy's fast-food chain is holding a contest for amateur musicians/producers across the nation.

Your task? To create original songs using percussive sounds recorded in an actual Wendy's kitchen (burgers sizzling, bacon popping, etc). Rip Rowan, I'm looking at you.

The two best entries will win $5,000 and will receive guaranteed radio airplay. Click here to listen to a sample track.

This contest is more or less a viral marketing campaign to strum up support and an appetite for The Baconator, Wendy's new and monstrous hamburger.
