City of Euless & UTA partnership wins “Best Educational Program”
Last fall, the City of Euless and The UT Arlington Planetarium presented a unique, free learning activity for the public, “Stars over Euless", taking the classroom outdoors. Stargazers brought flashlights and blankets and enjoyed an evening of educational fun as the director of the planetarium pointed out constellations and planets in the nighttime sky, and staff brought out powerful telescopes for gazing into the universe. Recently, “Stars over Euless” won “Best Educational Program” in the state from the Texas Festivals and Events Association (TFEA). TFEA is the official state chapter for Texas and New Mexico of the International Festivals and Events Association, which promotes community fellowship and family interaction. “Stars over Euless” will again take place this year on Friday, Oct. 19, just after sundown at Bob Eden Park, 901 W. Mid-Cities Blvd in Euless.
