Still time to register for National Night Out in Farmers Branch
FARMERS BRANCH More than 45 block captains are encouraging their neighbors to spend a warm summer evening outdoors with each other as Farmers Branch Community Watch readies for National Night Out 2007 on Tuesday, Aug. 7.
Farmers Branch residents will join in the observance of America's Night Out against crime by turning on their outside lights and celebrating outdoors with their neighbors in get-togethers, cookouts and block parties. Farmers Branch Community Watch is encouraging neighbors to plan gatherings and spend the evening outdoors to present a united front against crime.
In Farmers Branch, registered parties will receive visits from the Farmers Branch public safety agencies along with the Mayor and members of the City Council and City Departments.
Farmers Branch Community Watch is an organization of local neighborhoods, designed to increase awareness of City activities and issues as well as promote neighborhood crime prevention. To register a National Night Out party or to find out more about Community Watch, call the Farmers Branch Police Department at 972-247-3131.
