Grapevine’s Gaylord Texan Resort sees strong turnover from employee English language classes
http://www.star-telegram.com/407/story/200056.html
Two years ago, the Gaylord Texan Resort in Grapevine began offering free English language classes to its predominately Spanish-speaking employees.
Now company officials are seeing a strong correlation between employees who have taken the class and employees who remain and advance with the company.
About 92% of those who take the course stay with the company for at least a year, and 25% of the total 121 employees who have taken the course received promotions within a year. And, naturally, those who complete the program have reported feeling more confident with their positions.

This is a great idea for a grant. Employers could offer incentives, too. At last, a way to be proactive and helpful!
