Daniele to open in Fort Worth in October
FORT WORTH Daniele Puleo, owner of Daniele Osteria on Oak Lawn at Hall, will open a pizza and wine bar in Fort Worth called Daniele in the fall.
Located on South Hulen Street, the casual restaurant will have a profile similar to Coal Vines, spotlighting pizza, but also serving appetizers, salads, sandwiches, beer, wine, and wine.
"I brought in a Neapolitan chef, he's great with dough," Puleo says.
He originally considered calling the place Il Forno, but it's a fairly common restaurant name, whereas there is only one Daniele, pronounced Dan-yell-ee, in case you're wondering.

Gee... I'm really torn on this. While I admire the expansion ethos, he already has such a great, small operation that I wonder if he can make it work at such vast distances apart.
The chef may be "great with dough" but is he great with moolah? And if Daniele is spending ramp-up time in FW and not kitchen time here, what happens to the Oak Lawn ambience?
I really, really hope he knows what he's doing.
