The Women’s Museum celebrates Women’s Equality Day with a luncheon and guest speaker Coline Jenkins

Following the observance of Women’s Equality Day at Dallas City Hall, celebrations move to The Women’s Museum: An Institute for the Future for lunch and a special program. Using the first women’s conference at Seneca Falls in 1848 as a backdrop, guests will reflect on this monumental event and its importance in the history of women in America. We will commemorate the passing of the 19th Amendment with a unique presentation by Coline Jenkins, great great granddaughter of Elizabeth Cady Stanton, and remember the women who fought for the right to vote. Participants will revisit how our foremothers set the framework for the rights and privileges that empower us today. This luncheon program will also address contemporary gender issues and provide a forum for women to share their personal experiences. The program is free, and lunch is provided at $10/person. Please Purchase tickets and RSVP by August 20.
