Auditions for the 2007 Texas Teen Talent Explosion to be held in Dallas on September 1st

DALLAS — Eva Miles, the statewide event coordinator of The Black United Fund of Texas and creator of The Texas Teen Summit, is proud to announce the arrival of the 2007 Texas Teen Talent Explosion. Taking place Saturday, October 20th, 2007 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas, The Texas Teen Talent Explosion is an event that will showcase the talent of young performers in music, dance, drama, poetry and fashion in the state of Texas.

Beginning in the first weekend of September, teenagers between the ages of 13 to 18 will be able to audition to participate. The winners from each city will perform in Houston during the Texas Teen Explosion on October 20th. The judges include Eva Miles and actor Charles Robinson, best known as Mac Robinson on the 80’s NBC sitcom “Nightcourt”. Music Awards will be given to recording artists and record labels for outstanding work in community involving teens.

Main stage performances for the 2007 Texas Teen Talent Explosion include: Allure, Shanice Antwine, Ashley Dunbar, Wendy and LG3.

The Dallas auditions will be held on Saturday, September 1st, at 10am. The location will be at the Singing Hills Recreation Center at 1909 Crouch Road, in Dallas.
