Eclectic benefit show for Denise Gentry at The Granada on Sunday
Noted local producer's wife fighting lung cancer.
From Jennifer Elbert (mom of local wunderkind, Emily) comes this note:
I don’t know if you’ve already received this info, but wanted to make sure you know about it. Thought you might consider helping us promote this concert of outstanding local musicians. Bob Gentry is a wonderful musician and producer who just happens to be our long-time friend and the guy who produced Emily’s CD, Bright Side. We think he’s a genius and his wife, Denise, is a delightful, gorgeous mother. We love them both and are pulling out all the stops to help them.
Along with the concert, we’re having a silent auction and raffle, so there will be some fun items to buy.
If you have any questions, please let me know.
Jennifer Elbert
P. S. Emily is off to a great start in Boston!

Details on the show:
Area musicians have come together to help out our dear friends, Bob & Denise Gentry, of Tyler, Texas. Bob is an incredible bassist, great studio producer & engineer & all-round great guy. His wife, Denise, is a loving, creative, free-spirit with three beautiful children. Like many musicians, they were without health insurance when Denise was diagnosed with lung cancer a few months ago. A fabulous benefit concert has been put together to help them in their time of need. This is your chance to hear great music in a great venue from many local bands & performers.
